The Miami International Airport (MIA) is actively moving forward with the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC) Connector known as the MIA 'Mover'. This elevated landside APM system will provide an effective means of transporting passengers between MIA's three primary terminals and a remote ground transportation facility known as the MIC.

During project planning phases, MIA retained JAI to conduct an on-site assessment and review of the 'Mover' project in terms of soliciting maximum vendor competition and value engineer anticipated capital expenditures. This effort specifically focused upon evaluating project characteristics such as alignment, technology, competitiveness, schedule, and other to optimize system effectivity while reducing anticipated costs. In particular and to further optimize MIA value, JAI performed a detailed evaluation of the defined procurement methodology and bid documentation inclusive of evaluation criteria, performance requirements, contractual terms and conditions, and other key elements. JAI recommendations resulted in millions of dollars of system cost savings for MIA with no compromise in performance.

JAI is continuing our service to MIA by providing system technology, integration, and procurement expertise as part of the construction management and oversight program for the project.
