BART - Oakland Aiport Connector
San Francisco Bay, CA
The Oakland International Airport (within the San Francisco Bay Metro Area) is partnering with the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) to address accessibility challenges via a new Connector Project that will integrate an automated people mover (APM) link from the Airport to the nearby BART Coliseum Mass Transit Station.
Unlike typical airport APM Projects, this new system will be an urban transit project with many airport implications. Upon completion, the approximately 3.2 mile elevated system will transport over 2 million passengers each year.
Based on similar experience and global reputation, JAI was awarded a major, multi-year contract to assist the Port of Oakland in the implementation of this Connector project. - Turnkey Procurement
- Construction Management
- Financial and Cost Issues
